Back in the Saddle

I have decided to begin blogging. I do have a writing background but am not that excited about talking about myself. However for years I haven’t had much traffic on my site. So I am trying out different things to get more visibility.

A few thoughts for this first post. I use a Sony camera and very rarely my Pixel 6 phone to take photos. Now is a time of change for photographers. Lots of photos are now taken and made monetary in some way on phones with outstanding cameras. Processing tools are built into these phones and now AI can be used to improve, change and create new ones. The technical expertise needed to create great photos on a phone or camera is not as much of a factor now. Yes, there are still masters but even a novice can seem like one. One last thought. There seems to be a backlash against AI processed photos. I use Lightroom which is already incorporating AI into the app.. Also, serious photographers have always us a variety of tools to enhance their photos. It will be very hard to figure out what is too much AI and what is “Real” processing.
